NMU Fall Fest – August 27

Marquette, MI – Fall Fest is a great event for students to find out about student organizations, volunteer agencies and local businesses.

Held on the lawn of the University Center, Fall Fest is an “opportunity fair” for students to get information on how they can get involved on campus and in the community. In addition to over 100 student organizations, 75 businesses, and 20 volunteer agencies, there will also be free ice cream and friendly faces!

Student organizations interested in participating in Fall Fest should contact the Center for Student Enrichment (906-227-2439; cse@nmu.edu).

All businesses (including NMU offices/departments) must register with the Lake Superior Community Partnership (906-226-6591)

Kayaking 101 – August 25

Champion, Mi.– Van Riper State Park will be hosting Kayaking 101 this Saturday, August 25 from 1:00- 3:00 p.m.

Learn the basics of kayaking from different types of kayaks as well as safety and techniques all while kayaking! Everyone will meet on the beach and once the basics are learned, will go for a paddle on Lake Michigamme (weather permitting).
