Wheel Classes for Beginners to Advanced – May 1

Calumet, Mi. – The Calumet Art Center is offering wheel classes for beginners to advanced this Tuesday, May 1 from 10:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.

Ed Gray will teach interested people how to use the wheel or learn more. Schedule your own 2-hour sessions at any time that suits your needs (between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.).

Gentle Yoga – May 1

Gentle yoga is on the spectrum between seated yoga and yin (restorative) yoga. This is a great gentle exercise class for young or old.

Library Offers Therapy Dogs for Finals – May 1

Marquette, Mi.– Therapy dogs from Superiorland Pet Partners will be available for students to de-stress for final exams in the Lydia M. Olson Library at NMU this Tuesday, May 1, from 7:00- 9:00 p.m.

The library will also have some materials available for coloring, as well as some resource information to help students cope with the stress of exams.

PWPL Book Group: Small Great Things – May 1

Marquette, Mi.– Peter White Public Library is hosting a Book Group for “Small Great Things” in the Dandelion Cottage Room this Tuesday, May 1, from 7:00- 9:00 p.m.

“Small Great Things” is a Novel by Jodi Picoult based on the true story of a labor and delivery nurse who was prohibited from caring for a newborn because she was African American. This novel deals with racism, choice, fear, and hope.
