Marquette, Mich.– Mom Prom will be held at the U.P. Masonic Center this Friday, April 20, from 6:00 p.m.- 11:30 p.m.

Mom Prom is an annual fundraiser for a local family in need. All proceeds from this years event will benefit the family of William Chittle, an 8-year-old from Negaunee suffering from 3 different rare conditions.

Guests are encouraged to wear old prom dresses, bridesmaids gowns, or anything else that makes ladies feel like princesses!

Marquette, Mich.– Its Parent’s Night Out at the YMCA this Friday, April 20, from 5:30- 8:30 p.m.

Parents, take a night off and drop your kiddos at the YMCA of Marquette County for our Friday Nerf Fun Nights for ages 6-14.

Kids will enjoy Pizza, Swimming, and Nerf fun in the Gym. The first hour will be swimming and pizza. After pizza, we will head to the gym for a Nerf fight complete with giant foam shapes and cardboard box forts to hide behind! Pizza is supplied by Vangos.

MSU Science Festival Statewide Astronomy Night – April 20

Marquette, Mich.– The Shiras Planetarium will host the MSU Science Festival Statewide Astronomy Night (SWAN) this Friday, April 20, from 7:00- 10:00 p.m.

There will be a star show in the dome at 7:00 p.m. and again at 8:15 p.m. with night sky observations happening outside from dark until 10:00 p.m. or so.

Marquette Astronomical Society will be on hand with telescopes to assist guests. There will also be displays and hands-on activities available on different astronomy-related topics.

This is a family-friendly free event! Donations are always welcome.
