Precalculus – Notes 0001 – Books & Resources
Okay, first, what these posts are not.
- Not a course in Precalculus.
- Not a tutorial in Precalculus.
- Not a forum in Precalculus.
- Not accredited, not official, not anything but — sometimes — a shared study guide.
Why?
These notes arose from having to help somebody, after years away from school, get up to speed to take college-level mathematics. These are the resource, notes, videos that helped. We thought we should share all the free and useful stuff we found.
eTextbooks, eBooks, and resources we liked and found online for free (including some Pre-Precalculus books & tools):
- Precalculus, 3rd Corrected Edition free eBook (.pdf)
- College Algebra 3rd Corrected Edition, (Chapters 1-9 of Precalculus) free eBook (.pdf)
- College Trigonometry 3rd Corrected Edition, (Chapters 10-11 of Precalculus) free eBook (.pdf)
- OpenStax – Free Algebra, Trigonometry, and PreCalculus Books (.pdf)
- Glencoe Geometry Book
- Several Trigonometry Books
- CK-12 Study Guide
- High School Geometry | Khan Academy
- High school math | Khan Academy
- A Math Geek Platform for Learning (almost interactive textbook)

Snyder to Speak at NMU Commencement
February 8, 2018
Marquette, Michigan – Gov. Rick Snyder has accepted Northern Michigan University’s invitation to speak at commencement on Saturday, May 5. He was nominated because of his support of key NMU initiatives, including the Educational Access Network, Invent@NMU and career and technical education.
Snyder recently created the Michigan Consortium of Advanced Networks to extend broadband internet across the state. He signed the executive order after a roundtable attended by NMU president Fritz Erickson. Snyder has praised NMU’s effort to expand internet access throughout the Upper Peninsula through its Educational Access Network. The EAN combines the coverage and speed of the university’s revolutionary LTE system with a growing array of courses for professional and personal development. Snyder also points to NMU as an example of how partnerships can aid the effort. NMU works with U.P. municipalities to install the required LTE transmitters on existing public infrastructure.… Read the rest
