Marquette – “Stuff the Bus 2017” will be held on Monday, August 14 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Marquette.

This one day Marquette County wide event is being held to collect new school supplies for children in need. A Checker Transport school bus will be parked at the Marquette Holiday Inn. Businesses and residents can drop off donations during this time. At 6 p.m. the bus full of supplies will be dropped off at the YMCA Youth and Family Center where the supplies will be sorted and then distributed to children in need within Marquette County. Marquette – Superior Arts Youth Theatre will offer Musical Theater Camp Monday, August 14 through Friday, August 18 from 9:30 a.m. to noon in the SAYT’s Audition Room on the 3rd floor of Graveraet Elementary School in Marquette.

Musical Theatre camp is for students ages 8 and up ready to develop or increase skills in all areas of musical theater. Camp is themed around specific Broadway show styles. Camp activities include learning music, staging, choreography, and rehearsal terminology. The final day will feature student collaboration in developing a musical showcase of material that is performed for family and friends at the end of camp, Friday, August 18 from noon to 1 p.m.

Marquette – The Marquette Regional History Center and Liberty Children’s Art Project will offer “Hands On! Art and History Day Camp” Monday, August 14 through Friday, August 18 from 10 a.m. to noon each day at the History Center, 145 W. Spring Street in Marquette.

Art and history combine at this popular one week day-camp, designed for youth ages 8 to 12. Create your own art and a group project. Explore the History Center’s special exhibit on fly fishing, and inspire imaginative artwork around the theme of fish, streams, and the fun outdoors.
