Marquette – Summertime Scribblers Creative Writing Club will meet on Wednesday, August 2 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Teen Zone of the Peter White Public Library.

All students in grades 6 to 12 are invited to make a personalized cover for a journal and then gather with other writers to fill the pages throughout the summer. Materials will be provided, thanks to funding from Dr. Allyn Roberts in memory of Forest Roberts.

Marquette – The Marquette Regional History Center will offer a Historic Bus Tour on Wednesday, August 2 at 6 p.m. beginning at the Center on Spring Street in Marquette.

Take an entertaining, narrated journey through Marquette. The tour is commemorating World War I during the centennial of the Great War. The route takes you through the Historic District, down to the waterfront, and through the streets of Marquette. You will learn interesting historical facts about the Queen City of the North as you hear a general history narration throughout the journey from your tour guide. Through colorful characters that hop on the bus to share their stories, you will learn how the people of Marquette were affected by the Great War, and what everyday life was like here one hundred years ago.
