Curtis – The Erickson Center for the Arts will be kicking off the 2017 Music in the Park series with “Open Mic Night” featuring John Latini, on Wednesday, June 14 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the band shelter in the ECA Park.

Pre-registration for musicians is appreciated but not required. To sign-up or for more information, call the ECA at 906-586-9974. Showcase your musical talent!

This free, outdoor music event will be held every Wednesday night from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. through August 9th. Donations will be accepted. Picnic dinners are welcome, please bring a chair or blanket to sit on. In the event of inclement weather, Music in the Park will be moved indoors to the Erickson Center Performance Level.

Marquette – “Nicole’s Reptile Adventures,” a summer program series offered by volunteer, Nicole Shane, will feature a program on turtles on Wednesday, June 14 at 10 a.m. at the MooseWood Nature Center at Presque Isle Park in Marquette.

“Dude. Swim on by and learn about Michigan’s Turtles. It’ll be totally righteous.” Shane will share fun facts and information on some of our Michigan turtles through photographs, hands-on learning, crafts and exploration. Recommended ages for the program are 5 to 13 years and families are encouraged to attend this fun-filled program.
