The concert will feature arias from opera, operetta and modern musicals.

Household items and plants will be for sale at this biennial event, with proceeds to go toward church projects.

Marquette – A LuLaRoe Fundraiser for NMU Club Softball will be held on Saturday, June 3 from 9 a.m. to noon at the PEIF Building on campus of Northern Michigan University.

There will be seven local consultants on hand, with a lot of inventory to shop. A portion of all proceeds will be donated and matched by LuLaRoe. Money raised will help support the NMU Club Softball team and the expenses associated with the program.

Marquette – The Spring Fermentation Celebration will be held on Saturday, June 3 from 2 to 8 p.m. at Mattson Lower Harbor Park in Marquette.

This non-profit festival will be showcasing Michigan-made beer, wine, cider, mead, and kombucha. Live music will be provided by the Amnesians and East Side Ramblers. Local food options will be available. Tickets are $35 online at or $40 at the door the day of the festival.

Gwinn – “Understanding Addiction”, presented by Kimberly Robbins, will be offered on Saturday, June 3 from 10 to 11 a.m. and again from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Forsyth Township Public Library, 180 W. Flint Street in Gwinn.

Marquette – The Marquette Choral Society and the Marquette City Band will present a joint concert of Finnish and American music on Saturday, June 3 at 7:30 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, 305 W. Magnetic Street in Marquette.

As Finland celebrates 100 years of independence, these musicians will travel to Marquette’s sister city of Kajaani and six other cities to perform in honor of the centennial. To support the tour, a free-will offering will be accepted.
