Harvey – A special Mother’s Day service, with special guest speaker Clarissa Taylor, will be held on Sunday, May 14 at 10 a.m. at Silver Creek Church, 219 Silver Creek Road in Harvey.

Taylor is the 2016 winner of the Janesville, Wisconsin Business Challenge and the owner of Sweet Velvet Cake Company. Her talk, “Lasting Impression,” will touch on Taylor’s struggle with feeling rejected by her family and will highlight her journey from rejection to acceptance.

Little Lake – A Mother’s Day Dinner on will be offered on Sunday, May 14 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the American Legion Post 349 on M-35 in Little Lake.

The dinner will be ham, turkey, and all the fixin’s. The cost for the meal is $12 for adults and $6 for children under 7. Bring your mother for a special treat on her day!
