Marquette – A lunch time informational session on integrative medicine with Dr. Jessica Haloskie will be held on Wednesday, March 8 at noon in the Shiras Room of the Peter White Public Library.

Dr.Haloskie, Board certified in family medicine and acupuncture, has experience in the management of chronic care, well child visits, and urgent care. She is currently completing her fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, University of Arizona.

Bring a sack lunch. This monthly lunch and learn session is part of a Meet the Physician series sponsored by the U.P. Health System of Marquette and the Peter White Public Library. Marquette – The Marquette Regional History Center will present “The Cruise of the Abbie” on Wednesday, March 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Center on W. Spring Street in Marquette.

In 1889 John M. Longyear set out on his boat to tour Lake Superior, do a little fishing and explore Isle Royal. He recorded it all and presented his daughter Abbie with a bound book of this incredible trip. Listen to his firsthand account of this adventure and see original photos taken on the trip.

B.G. Bradley, playing John M. Longyear, and Rosemary Michelin playing Abby, will share the often funny, memories of Longyear’s journal and the boat which he named after her.
