Negaunee – The Negaunee High School and Middle School Dance Teams will host a dance and cheer show on Saturday, February 25 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lakeview Elementary School gym in Negaunee. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

It will feature talented groups from the area including the Negaunee High School dance team, the Negaunee Middle School dance team, Marquette Senior High School dance team, New Attitudes Dance Studio Performance Company, dancers from Superior Dance Academy and more.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Flower bouquets will be sold at the door before the performance for $7 and $10. … Read the rest

This is a new story time for babies! Enjoy songs, rhymes, stories and fingerplays for ages 0 to 24 months and stay for a playtime afterwards.

Gwinn – A free Dessert Extravaganza will be held on Saturday, February 25 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Gwinn United Methodist Church, 251 Jasper Street in Gwinn.

Music will be provided by Stringed Challenge and there will be a quilt display. Cub Scouts from Pack 333 of Gwinn will be performing skits and having demonstrations of activities they have been learning along with a pictorial display.

Manistique – The City of Manistique Snofest will be held on Saturday, February 25 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Central Park in Manistique.

The Frosty 5K Road Race and Walk will begin with registration at 9 a.m. and the start of the race at 10 a.m. Little Jiggers Kids Ice Fishing Derby begins with registration at 9 a.m. with fishing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $5 per hole and there will be prizes. The Cardboard Classic begins with registration at 1 p.m. and the race at 1:30 p.m.

There will be free skate admission Sponsored by Manistique Kiwanis and YETI Key Club. Skate rental will be available for $2 per person.

L’Anse – Freedom Reins Horse Club Tack Swap and Craft Sale will be held on Saturday, February 25 from noon to 3 p.m. at the American Legion Post 144, 115 Front Street in L’Anse.

There will be no early sales. The Legion will have food and beverage concession available. FRHC also will be holding a bake sale, a 50/50 drawing, and a brown bag raffle.
