Gwinn – The Gwinn High School Drama Club will offer the production of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” on Friday, December 3 and Saturday, December 4 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, December 5 at 2 p.m. in the Gwinn High School Cafetorium.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students and senior citizens. Tickets are available at the Gwinn High School office, Modeltown Express, Superior Iron Range Community Federal Credit Union, Crossroads Mini Mart and Snowbound Books. Tickets will also be available at the door beginning one hour prior to each show.

Negaunee – The Negaunee Eagles Club will host a fundraiser for the Ishpeming-Negaunee Salvation Army Friday, December 3 from 7 to 11 p.m.

Pierre Oja will provide karaoke and dance music and there will be raffles throughout the evening.

Additional donations will be accepted to benefit the Salvation Army.

Marquette – The 19th Annual International Craft Fair and Alternative Gift Market will be held on Friday, December 3 from 5 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, December 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 201 East Ridge, Marquette.

Craft Fair purchases enables artisans and cooperatives in poverty stricken areas of the world to receive fair prices for their unique work and to be more self-sustaining. By choosing an Alternative Gift from the “shopping list for the world” you can honor someone while providing a gift of food, shelter, medicine, education, clean water, etc. You will receive a card explaining to the receiver that this special gift has been given in their name.

The men of St. Paul’s will be serving homemade soup and bread on Saturday starting at 11 a.m., and there will be a White Elephant Sale and Bake Sale during the hours of the soup luncheon.

Marquette – The U.P. Children’s Museum will host a training session for its Explainers Program on Friday, December 3 from 4 to 6 p.m.

Pizza will be served. A parent or caregiver must be present from 5:30 to 6 p.m.

The Explainers are volunteers ages 8 to 18 who learn about service and leadership through assisting in the museum.

Marquette – The Noquemanon Trail Network Annual Snowball will be held on Friday, December 3 from 7 to 11 p.m. at UpFront and Company in downtown Marquette.

This night of winter celebration will feature outstanding food, silent auction items, excellent music and friends.
Tickets are available at the Sports Rack, Downwind Sports or NTN Board members, as well as at the door. Tickets are $25 per person.

Negaunee – The Peninsula Arts Appreciation Council will present “Inspire! The Concert,” with Jeff Jennings and Friends in an evening of inspirational music with a flavor of the holidays, on Friday, December 3 at 7 p.m. at the Negaunee High School Auditorium.

There will be special performances by the Negaunee High School Chorale and other local entertainers. Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for children.

All proceeds from the concert benefit the Peninsula Arts Appreciation Council.

Escanaba – The U.P. Gas and Steam Engine Association will have their annual Christmas in the Village Friday, December 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, December 4 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the U.P. State Fair Grounds in Escanaba.

Say hello to Santa and enjoy fresh roasted chestnuts. The village will be decorated for the holiday season and the museum will be open.

Admission is free, but please consider bringing non-perishable food items or a new unwrapped toy to help make someone else’s Christmas merry.

The Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum in Marquette will offer the seventh annual Celebrity Art Auction on Thursday, December 2, beginning with viewing at 5:30 p.m. and the auction at 7 p.m. at the museum.

This adults-only event will feature original works of art by 40 of the community’s most unexpected artists, headed up by auctioneer Al Hunter. Refreshments will be available, including fine wines and beer, an array of appetizers and a chocolate fountain.

Admission is free. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Children’s Museum. For more information, call 226-3911.
