Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser Feb. 16

The American Legion Bantam AA team will have a spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Saturday, February 16 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the American Legion Post 44, 770 W. Bluff Street in Marquette. Dinner will be $5 for adults, $3 for children 12 and under. Take-outs will be available. There will also be door prizes and a silent auction. Dance Workshops at NMU Feb. 2

January 31, 2008

Beginners Dance Workshops will be held on Saturday, February 2 in the conference rooms of the University Center at NMU. Doors open at noon, the Lindy Hop will be featured at noon and 1 p.m., West Coast Swing will be offered at 2 and 3 p.m. and Carolina Shag will be featured at 4 and 5 p.m. There will be a dinner break at 6 p.m. Dancing will begin at 7 p.m. with Superior Swing playing live music from 8 to 11 p.m. No food will be served – bring your own snack and beverage. “Finding and Expressing Our Uniqueness” Class

“Finding and Expressing Our Uniqueness” will be offered by the Marquette Community Schools on Tuesdays, February 5 through 19 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in room 122 of Marquette Senior High School. Visualization, art and journaling will be used to help expose a person&#39s unique qualities often masked by everyday life. Cost of the class is $25. To register, call 225-5290. Monday Morning Playtime Feb. 4

Monday Morning Playtime at the Birchview Elementary School in Ishpeming will feature a visit from Clifford, the Big Red Dog on February 4 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the school gym. Cliffor will be available for photos, healthy snacks will be provided and free books will be offered. Activities will include singing, games and story time.
