Marquette – The Marquette Regional History Center and Liberty Children’s Art Project will offer “Hands On! Art and History Day Camp” Monday, August 14 through Friday, August 18 from 10 a.m. to noon each day at the History Center, 145 W. Spring Street in Marquette.

Art and history combine at this popular one week day-camp, designed for youth ages 8 to 12. Create your own art and a group project. Explore the History Center’s special exhibit on fly fishing, and inspire imaginative artwork around the theme of fish, streams, and the fun outdoors.

Marquette – Build a Better World Book Fair #3 will be held on Saturday, August 5 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.

Having read a minimum of 20 minutes a day for at least 10 days, come pick out your 3rd and final free book of the summer! Make sure to bring your reading log as you must have it to get your book. Remember to record your minutes/hours. Participants in the summer reading program collectively need to reach 8,000 hours of reading by the end of summer to earn the ice-cream library lock-in!
