Marquette – The Laughing Whitefish Audubon Society will sponsor a guided bird walk on Sunday, May 13 beginning at 10 a.m. in the parking lot of the bog walk at Presque Isle Park in Marquette.

Marquette – The Inaugural Boat Swap will be offered by Superior Watershed Partnership and Land Trust on Saturday, May 12 at the Berry Events Center east parking lot in Marquette.
Boat drop-off will be from 8 to 10 a.m.; early bird checkout for Superior Watershed members will be from 10 to 10:30 a.m.; and sale and checkout for the general public will be from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A silent auction of select boats will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and pickup for unsold items or sold items will be from 2 to 3 p.m.

Participants should dress appropriately for the weather and are encouraged to bring their cameras.

Marquette – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will offer a combined indoor-outdoor program on Wednesday, March 7 beginning at 1 p.m. at the U.S. National Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame in Ishpeming and ending at the Suicide Hill ski jump area.
Tom West, director of the hall of fame, and Bob Hendrickson will be the presenters.
The cost is a $3 donation at the door of the hall of fame. Advance registration is requested by Friday, March 2. Call Robert Dobson at 475-5752.
