Bluesday Tuesday – The Occasions

Marquette, MI – The Peter White Public Library and the Marquette Area Blues Society would like to invite music lovers to a concert with The Occasions on Tuesday, June 26, at 7:00 pm, part of the monthly Bluesday Tuesday series.  Due to construction at the Library, the concert will be held at the Ore Dock Brewing Company.

Formed in 2015, The Occasions play a variety of musical styles, from funk to R&B and jazz to blues, with a fun mix of original and cover music.  Featuring Caitlin Wright on vocals and Dan Zini on bass, The Occasions pick up other musicians to round out their group.

There is no admission charge to attend this event which is co-sponsored by the Marquette Area Blues Society and the Carroll Paul Memorial Trust Fund of the Peter White Public Library.  Call 226-4318 or visit for more information.… Read the rest

Marquette City Band Concert – June 28

Music on Third Returns for the Summer

When she starts to sing, welcome the moment.

Her journeys have taken her all over the world, from street corners to renowned stages, May has performed all works of life. In her travels, Erlewine came to know the land and the pulse of the people. Her songs show a very real connection and concern with everyday folk.
