Love, Loss, and What I Wore: Mother’s Day Night Out – May 13

Marquette, Mich.– There will be the play “Love, Loss, and What I Wore,” hosted by the Historic Vista Theater/PAAC, at the Ore Dock Brewing Co. this Sunday (Mother’s Day), May 13 at 7:00 p.m.

It’s Mother’s Day Out! Nora and Delia Ephron wrote “Love, Loss, and What I Wore” based on a 1995 book by Ilene Beckerman. It celebrates all of our many quirks, strengths, and struggles as mothers, daughters, nieces, aunts, friends… women!

Starring: Denise Clark, Bridgette Jaakola, Jaqueline Love, Monica Nordeen, and Leslie Parkkonen

A delicious Ham dinner will be served for those elders that have no family and will be alone for the Holiday. They will also be preparing and delivery hot meals to seniors who will be alone and cannot attend the parties. There will be music, snacks, party favors and fun for everyone. There will be the exciting Ball Drop at 7:30 p.m. outside the museum.

Ishpeming – A Community Christmas Dinner will be served on Monday, December 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ishpeming Elks Lodge.

The meal will include traditional holiday favorites such as turkey, ham, stuffing, cranberry sauce, potatoes, gravy and dessert. This free meal is provided by the community and is open all.

Take out and free delivery will be available in western Marquette County, including Palmer. For those choices, RSVP to 486-6890. Those wishing to volunteer to help with the meal may also call that number.
