Marquette, MI – Downtown Marquette will hold their annual 4th of July fireworks show at the Lower Harbor at 10 pm on Thursday, July 4th, 2019. In the case of inclement weather, the show will be rescheduled for July 5th.

International Food Festival July 2nd – 4th

Marquette, MI – The International Food Festival will take place at Marquette’s Lower Harbor from Wednesday, July 2nd to Friday, July 4th. Enjoy free music and entertainment while you sample cuisine from around the world. The festival is on from noon to 10:30 pm each night.

July 4th Fireworks Cruise Chamber Fundraiser

Munising, MI – A July 4th Fireworks Cruise chamber fundraiser gives citizens two options for fun on the bay on Independence Day.

First, a Twilight Indianhead Cruise with Fireworks in the Bay, boarding @ 8:45 p.m. for $35. Also, Fireworks on the Bay Cruise, boarding @ 9:45 p.m. for $15.

New Year’s Eve Ball Drop

Marquette, MI – Gather with family and friends to ring in 2019 at the 30th annual New Year’s Eve ball drop in Downtown Marquette on Monday, December 31, 2018. Share in this true Marquette tradition and join in the countdown to midnight atop the Masonic Square Mall at 130 W. Washington Street. Double Trouble DJs have again stepped up to take on the continuation of this tradition,and will add their own signature twists to the event. Special thanks to the Masonic Association for the generous use of their building. According to Mona Lang, Marquette Downtown Development Authority Executive Director, “This is a great event for the community and an exciting way to bring in the New Year.”

Event participants are reminded that the New Year’s Eve Ball Drop is a family friendly event. While the 100 block of W. Washington Street will be closed to traffic, the public is reminded that consumption of alcohol is not allowed in the public right of way. Bar and restaurant patrons are asked to consume any beverages inside of respective establishments before venturing out onto the streets.

The Marquette City Commission has generously waived the street closure and police protection fees to help bring this popular events to the community. The event is sponsored by the City of Marquette and the Marquette Downtown Development Authority.
