Marquette – The National Alliance on Mental Illness-Alger/Marquette will offer an educational meeting on Monday, April 24 at 7 p.m. in the Baraga Place Conference Room, 129 West Baraga Avenue, Marquette.

Shelly Brandow from Great Lakes Recovery Centers will speak on the subject of co-occurring disorders (mental health disorder and substance use disorder).

Ishpeming – The Diabetes PATH (Personal Action Towards Health) workshop, a six week class, will meet on Monday evenings beginning on April 24 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at UP Health System-Bell Hospital in Ishpeming.

The workshop helps people living with daily challenges of diabetes, learn skills and tools needed to improve their health and manage their symptoms. Subjects covered include: symptoms of diabetes, stress, managing fatigue and emotional problems, exercise, healthy eating, medications, and working with health care providers.
