Chassell – Vacation Bible School will be offered Monday, June 26 through Thursday, June 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 42905 Willson Memorial Drive in Chassell.

All children 4-years-old through completing 5th grade are welcome to attend. This program is free.

Marquette – The Marquette Interfaith Forum invites the public to a series of talks centered on several of the world’s religions, offering a presentation with an exploration on Judaism on Wednesday, June 14 at 7 p.m. in the Shiras Room of the Peter White Public Library.

Harvey – A special Mother’s Day service, with special guest speaker Clarissa Taylor, will be held on Sunday, May 14 at 10 a.m. at Silver Creek Church, 219 Silver Creek Road in Harvey.

Taylor is the 2016 winner of the Janesville, Wisconsin Business Challenge and the owner of Sweet Velvet Cake Company. Her talk, “Lasting Impression,” will touch on Taylor’s struggle with feeling rejected by her family and will highlight her journey from rejection to acceptance.

Marquette – The Annual Interfaith Holocaust Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 24 at 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 201 E. Ridge Street in Marquette.

The Marquette Interfaith Forum and Temple Beth Sholom sponsor this annual remembrance of the Holocaust with prayers and readings from multiple faith groups, choral presentations and guest speaker Irene Miller, a Survivor of the Holocaust as an 8 year old Jewish child in Poland. Ms. Miller is now a retired health care executive in Detroit and a frequent speaker on the Holocaust, diversity, prejudice and acceptance and prevention of bullying.… Read the rest

Marquette – An Eucumenical Good Friday worship service, with participation by several congregations on Friday, April 14 from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, 305 W. Magnetic Street, Marquette.

The service will be divided into several small segments. Come for part of the service, or stay the entire time. There will be special music, scripture readings, inspirational messages, and time for personal reflection.

Calendar – Faith – Four Day Lenten Mission at St. Michael Catholic Parish – Mar. 19-22

Marquette – All are invited to participate in a four-day Lenten mission that will begin on Sunday, March 19 from 3:30 to 5 p.m., followed by a potluck dinner, at St. Michael Catholic Parish in Marquette.

From Monday, March 20 through Wednesday, March 22, the mission will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. followed by a social. The mission will include the celebration of the Mass on March 22. Called “Time for God in a Busy World,” the mission will be led by Oblate Father John Graden and Mary Sellars Malloy.

Partially funded by Legacy of Faith and a donation by St. Christopher Parish of Marquette, the mission will include Scripture, music, prayer and reflection. Freewill offerings to offset the cost of the mission to St. Michael Parish will be accepted. Childcare will be provided by the Father Marquette Middle School eighth grade families as a class fundraiser.… Read the rest
