Marquette – Northern Michigan University’s Siril Endowment for the Music Arts will offer a screening of the Royal Opera’s production of Mussorgsky’s only completed opera, “Boris Godunov,” on Sunday, February 12 at 5 p.m. in 1100 Jamrich Hall on the NMU campus.
The opera features a towering central character, a tsar whose power and vulnerability combine in one of the greatest bass-baritone roles in the canon. The performance was filmed in London and will be projected in high definition in Jamrich Hall’s state-of-the-art auditorium.
The event is free for NMU students with ID and $15 for adults.
