Marquette, MI- The Dead River Derby teams will be hosting their next home bout on July 25th in Marquette’s Lakeview Arena. DRD’s travel team, Rolling Riptide will be kicking off the action starting at 6:00 PM. These ladies are going up against the Small Town Outlaws from Kalkaska, MI. Immediately following is DRD’s home team, Superior Sirens. The Sirens are going to take on Lansing’s Mitten Mavens. Both events are looking to bring some serious entertainment to the Marquette Area all while giving back to the community. Dead River has chosen UPAWS to be the beneficiary of the event and is looking for the community’s help to make this a generous donation! Be on the look-out for more information, you may even get to meet a skater unexpectedly!
Dead River Derby is also looking for volunteers to help with the event! We are seeking individuals to make this fast paced sport even more pleasurable. There are lots of opportunities to help out, and there are plenty of perks for lending a hand! If you’re interested in free admission to bouts, open invitations to the after parties and some other awesome incentives, please contact our Volunteer Director by e-mail at volunteer4drd@gmail.com.
On the day of the event, doors open at 5pm and the bout begins at 6pm. Tickets can be purchased in advance from your local derby girl or at brownpapertickets.com. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Children 12 and under are free. Dead River Derby will provide concessions including food, soda, and beer/wine sales.
