Fun Filled Evening Of Good Food And Great Stories

Marquette, Michigan – Enjoy a fun filled evening of good food and great stories at the Peter White Public Library on Friday, April 5 at 6:00 pm. Storytellers Jessica “Red” Bays, B. G. Bradley, Jim Edwards, and Corinne Rockow will entertain with hilarious and heartwarming tales after a crowd pleasing, delicious quesadilla bar prepared by the Border Grill.
The evening’s four performers will tell spellbinding stories that help define who we are-as people and as a community. Vertigo Theatre Company veteran, Jessica “Red” Bays will put her training to good use performing ‘front porch’ tales from the deep south. Westwood teacher and drama coach, B.G. Bradley will explore ‘mostly true’ memories of growing up in small town U.P. and the connections that we make with each other. Children’s’ Museum educator, Jim Edwards will perform his unique retellings of classic fairytales performed ‘Mr. Jim’-style. Singer/songwriter/storyteller, Corinne Rockow will light up the stage with her characteristic sparkle celebrating our world and the humor in it.
Advance purchase tickets of $7.50 per person, to cover the cost of the meal, are required to attend this unique and fun family event which is appropriate for ages 6 and up. Tickets may be purchased at the library circulation desk or by calling 228-9510 on or before April 1. Tickets will not be available at the door. Seating is limited due to space constraints.
