Ruffed grouseThere’s still time to hunt for deer, pheasants and ruffed grouse. Find a license agent near you, or purchase your license online through the DNR  E-license website (note that while you can print your license from your own printer, the DNR mails kill tags to your residence, which could take up to 10 days). Antlerless deer: The late antlerless firearm deer season will take place on Dec. 17 – Jan. 1 in some Lower Peninsula Deer Management Units (DMUs). Check out the 2012 Michigan Antlerless Deer Hunting Digest for details.

Male pheasants: The late pheasant seaon (male only) takes place Dec. 1 – Jan. 1 in part of Zone 3 of the Lower Peninsula. Hunters will need a small game hunting license. Be sure to check out the 2012 Michigan Hunting and Trapping Digest for details.

Ruffed Grouse: Hunt for ruffed grouse Dec. 1 – Jan. 1 statewide. Be sure to pick up a small game hunting license, and check out the 2012 Michigan Hunting and Trapping Digest.

Muzzleloading: Want more opportunities to harvest a deer? Muzzleloading season starts Dec. 7.
Zone 1 (Upper Peninsula): Dec. 7-16
Zone 2 (Northern Lower Peninsula): Dec. 14-23
Zone 3 (Southern Lower Peninsula): Dec. 7-23
