MRHC Presents The Art and Practice of Seed Saving Jun 19th

May 22, 2019

Marquette, MI – The Marquette Regional History Center (MRHC) presents: The Art & Practice of Seed Saving Workshop Wednesday, June 19th from 6:00-7:30 pm. Abbey Palmer is the instructor for this workshop.

Seeds carry the genetic information of plants and the stories of the people who eat those plants. Learn the ways that U.P. homesteaders saved seeds and techniques you can replicate in your own garden. In addition, this workshop offers the opportunity to use paper arts to tell the stories of seeds and families – of both plants and people. Pre-registration required and limited space is available. The cost is $10.00. Call 906.226.3571 or visit marquettehistory.org for more information.

This Heritage Crafts exhibit and workshop series is made possible in part by a grant from the Michigan Humanities Council, an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Any views, findings, conclusions or recommendations expressed in this project do not necessarily represent those of the NEH or the MHC.
